N-Power Disengaged Beneficiaries Set to be Empower by Ogun State Government –The Ogun State government has revealed that another channel has been opened for the disengaged N-power beneficiaries to become entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector. This was revealed in a statement made on Monday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr, Kunle Somorin. N-Power Disengaged Beneficiaries Set to be Empower by Ogun State Government 

Somorin said that the disengaged N-power beneficiaries could enter into different agricultural intervention programmes of the Ogun State Government. It was gathered that the programmes are were organized to facilitate start-up agricultural businesses and motivate the up-scaling of small-holders farmers.

A few of the programmes that they can partake in includes the Anchor Borrowers’, Ogun State Broiler Project, Central Bank of Nigeria Cocoa Development Initiative, Oil Palm Intervention Programme, Fertilizer Intervention , Ogun State Economic Transformation Programme, Giz Tomato/Chill pepper and the Agric-business/Small and Medium Enterprise Investment Scheme.

Somorin went further to say,apart from the enumerated opportunities, the State Ministry of Agriculture also provides Extension Service and Agro-input delivery to support farmer’s activities in the state.

The State Government encouraged all N-power beneficiaries that were disengaged from the program to reach out to the Ogun State Npower State Office, Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-governmental affairs Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta to register their interests.
